Solano County

Solano County launched its pilot Green Business Program on July 1, 2007. The program is working with CUPA-related businesses, primarily auto/engine repair shops, in all Solano County jurisdictions. CUPA-related businesses are those that generate 55 gallons or more of hazardous waste and are then subject to submit a Hazardous Materials Business Plan to the County of Solano and pay all related fees. The program expanded on July 1, 2008 to include non-CUPA businesses, such as restaurants, retail shops, professional and other offices, and hotels.
