The Bay Area Green Business Program serves small to medium-sized businesses in the nine Bay Area Counties.
We have standards for auto services, printing, hotels, restaurants, landscape design and maintenance, remodeling, garment cleaning (wet cleaning or CO2 systems exclusively), dentists, wineries, janitorial services, offices and retail shops.
Other businesses may be eligible. Contact your county coordinator for more information.

What Do I Have to Do?
Comply with environmental regulations
Local agencies will provide technical assistance, if needed, and verify that your business complies with applicable environmental regulations. Depending on your business type this could include site visits from wastewater, storm water, hazardous materials, and air quality staff.Conserve resources, prevent pollution, reduce waste
Use a Green Business checklist to select and record what you are doing to green your operations. Some actions businesses take include:- buying only recycled-content paper and copying double-sided
- cleaning with less toxic products
- using efficient lighting systems
- installing low-flow toilets and faucet aerators
